5 months plus membership summary

    Already a little bit more than 5 months with Rapid and here is my take tosummarize to goods and the bads...

    1. Quality: 6/10

    As I felt from week 1, the more members the lesser the quality/stability will be. In this case I hate to have been right. It is clear that Rapid with all its efforts still can get quality/stability feeds and when it has one for some reasons, it drops it (French Play Media SAS).
    The quality dropped drastically and lately is close to below acceptable. Was a 9/10 five months ago and today barely is a 5/10 but because of a good start I give it still a 6/10

    2. Channels: 8/10

    More than 2,500 might sound good and might apeal the a broaden and diverse audience but how can anybody manage properly evn a thousand channels? Worst, Rapid is asking the members their own niche channels as opposed to make sure the main ones are working properly. Still not sold on the thread "which channels would you like to add" as to me, quality primes before quantity...but it's just me

    3. EPG Guide: 0/10

    After my first week, I already suggested an EPG and 5 months later still nothing. Now I know it is a complex request but surely not impossible. Kudos to HarryPotter (a member) who is actually trying to do what Rapid should do. Just an idea, Rapid give Harry a free pass or some incentives to do this job or you!

    4. Pricing: 8/10

    Frankly no complain there with the exception of adding multiple TV's in the same household...Personally, I'm the only who watches but how can a family afford to pay almost full price for each additional TV? Just thought I throw that in...

    5. Support: 4/10

    Well Rapid is bad in that field yet I know for a fact, no competitor can possibly serve as example. This "industry field" is simply bad and seem either not to care or simply have only a couple of people working out-of- a garage... Rapid is no better or worst than the competition which obviously is bad.

    6. Forum: 6/10

    Nice concept utilised in any business company but once again, managed by a few people on their spare times... Rapid is no different obviously and just like the support point, it's the desease of these types of companies. I believe Rapid cares but with limited staff, money and time....nothing much to expect. Because of some great and helpful members, the Rapid forum is ok thus 6/10

    Overall, I'm personally still happy with Rapid and surely wouldn't give it up. I really worry though that as members increase, this wonderful site will become garbage....

    All my UK channels now have EPG,done by Rapid..i`ve only been a member a few week..but i have seen improvement in my time.
    There is still room for much improvement..for me the addition of certain UK channels i would welcome the most.
    If it stays the same as it is now,i wouldn`t have room to complain.
    It`s strange how we all use the same site,yet have a different experience.Too many variables to blaim it all on Rapid.
    Football on UK-VIP today,the Man United match was perfect..and in proper HD.

    It is impossible to blame Rapid on everything but some things... I watched UK SkySports HD 1 this am for Arsenal/MU (after trying FR Canal Plus Sport) and both had quite a bit a buffering issues so I switched to SHY Sport1 SD which was ok.

    Give the UK VIP a try next time,they only work shortly before kickoff,proper HD and no buffering for me today.

    I think they give the "UK VIP extras", higher priority..?
    I wish they`d put UCI cycle racing on as well as Footy.
