    Hi All,

I am constantly trying to improve quality for my clients. Recently rapidiptv published 1080p with 5.1 sounds streams in couple off HD channels for Netherlands like NPO1. The normal channel has 1080p with 2.0

The 2.0 channels work like a charm. No problems but with 1080p and 5.1 its constantly higging on the video. Sounds seems to be good. Any idea what to do. I use it on mxiii-g with kodi 17 alpha 3.

No problems with connection almost 50mb raw on the box. Also changed mtu and turned off multicast.

Let me know how it works for you. Can people test it and let me know how it works on other devices or the same.

IMHO the most reliable way to watch IPTV is to use a dedicated device e.g Mag.

@ExpatTV or anyone else who know this....

I think I have the exact same issue as you. Have you found a solution for this ?

    My situation:
    - RPi3 with LibreELEC alpha 4 , so this is Kodi 17. (there is a new alpha version, recently, maybe that fixes it? havent tried yet)
    - recently got Rapid IPTV , so havent tested in Kodi 16
    - like you say some HD channels are working fine, other HD channels have some hickups on the video.
    - Sound quality of the NPO1,2,3 and RTL 4,5,7,8 channels are bad. It says its 5.1 AAC but the sound is bad, most of it comes through my center speaker.

I did test the channels on my OnePlus 3 with the IPTV app and MX Player, and then the video is perfect. So it must be something in Kodi 17....

I have not yet been able to find a solution. Now trying MXPLAYER and hope to integrate that with kodi. Kodi can use external players but so far I did not got it working.

Right now I have "fixed" this issue by playing with the deinterlacing setting. You can change this setting while playing a stream, in the settings on bottom right. Then video settings.
This setting is by default on Auto. Some streams work good by turning this Off, and some streams are working good by turning this to MMAL - Advanced.

I'm also gonna try a testbuild soon, which are available here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=269814
The developement of these builds are further then the alpha's. I can see in the changelog they did a lot with the VideoPlayer. Also, they are already with Kodi 17 Krypton Beta 3.

Most of those m3u and iptv players are using players like MX player with hw+ acceleration. So my choice was to use MX player as a external player for kodi. But whatever I tried I could not get it working on a android 5.1 with kodi 17 beta and alpha3 version

Anyone tried this and got it working? All most all recent questions about non working external players are not answered on the Kodi forum

As i wrote in an other thred for android boxes you must first install bionic tcp app turn on big tcp buffer and then Kodi.

Test it and let me know.

Yes for all boxes above android 4.0 and remember every time you restart your box you have to add large tcp buffer via bionic tcp ( box must be rooted )

In bionic tcp buffer app there is only one option click on that and you have done.
