Strange, did you converted the m3u file using the following guidelines? https://forum.rapidiptv.net/threads/enigma2-boxes-howto-convert-m3u8-m3u.823/
In any case, you will not have EPG but you should be able to pause or record. Of course, rewind is only available in a recorded stream. You must notice that the rapidiptv streams are "semi-live" streams and that you cannot request to the server to rewind. You only can record an pause using the vu+ and VIX features.

i imported the mu3 file direct into my bouquets via esettings+, which is basically the same as dreambox edit, i created individual bouquets for what i wanted....i.e sports, movies entertainment etc etc..........the channels work fine and i can zap through them with no problem....my timeshift and record works fine on my satitlite bouquets..............when i try to record in my iptv bouqets i get this error msg "could not record due to invalid service 40970..1001.0.0.0.0.0.0 http clentportal etc.....

    im reallystuck:/

    Hi ,
    Please try to
Delete any recording timers you may have.
Summary For Duo2+ > Menu > Time > Delete any waiting entries that are listed.
you may be requesting two record access without knowing it.

I would do that using the rapidiptv guideline but you can also just restart your box or update to a new OpenVix firmware. It may be some configuration (e.g. Hdd movie folder wrong) but if it working with satellite channels then it may be due to the m3u conversion or two devices or two instances of the same device (e.g. Timers) accesing the iptv server somehow

There is no way to record with subscription with one connection enabled on any device. To record you would need subscription with double connection enabled and if i remember well second conection for existing subscription cost less than normal subscription. Fast forward and rewind depends of the server stream buffer which is small in case of rapidiptv so that dont works ether.

When you play movie, try it with mx player. Then you can pause and fast forward.

I havent tried with rapidiptv channels but new OpenVix 4.1 or 4.2 says it supports iptv channel recording (service 4097)
    http://www.world-of-satellite.com/s...1-Release-thread&highlight=Iptv+stream+record

    http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?51281-IPTV-Recording&p=399549&viewfull=1#post399549

This done using gstreamer 1.8 that just capture all data that is watched.
    Gsstreamer exist in openpli http://forums.openpli.org/topic/38409-iptv-gstreamer-recording

please notice that vu+solo is not more supported on ViX 4.x (solo2 should be ok)

    EDIT--
You can RECORD the iptv channels. This is confirmed with OPENVIX 4.2 however i must say i tried this with other provided not rapidiptv. This is done using only one subscription. That is, you watch and record the same channel!
If you can RECORD, then you can pause and move through the recorded file.

I have also tried autotimers on IPTV channels that have EPG. This is not working for me. I have a VU+Duo. When the box is trying to search through the whole iptv EPG channels then it crash. It is a software crash, so i think this feature is still ongoing on openvix for IPTV channels.
