After a little reading I get the idea that a m3u can created in a way that when loaded into kodi it will put the channels in groups as I have seen in a few screenshots i. e. Sports, Vip, Italy. Ifso how must it be created my reseller does not seem to know and my m3u shows groups but I end up with over 4000 entries of channels. Am trying to go thru and check out what's up and running to get a preview of different channels to see what I like and can use and what I know I'll never use. That way I can par down the numbers. Also is it normal that kodi need to reload the channels on a every restart ?

    Hello,

    1. For KODI use HLS output and not mpegts. Ie. output=hls
    2. For channel groups type=m3u_plus

So when your reseller gives you the link tell them to select "m3u with options" and "hls" output. Or you can just download your playlist in this format using your original URL but make sure to change the "type" and "output" arguments. Load this version into KODI and you should be able to select from channel groups.

    3. Yes, unfortunately KODI does rescan the channels on the PVR service everytime it starts however this shouldn't take more than a few seconds (~10 seconds).

    Hope this helps! :)

My advise is not to use hls as it is unstabile but try perfect player with mpegts line and you will be satisfied
